Web Development

Objective:

This course is designed to help students gaining both the fundamentals and advance aspects of creation of web sites. Students will develop, manage, and maintain professional web sites by using client-side technologies, HTML5, CSS3. For dynamic access and form validation Javascript, and jQuery will be used. Students will be taught Bootstrap which is framework to rapidly create and deploy responsive, engaging and beautifully laid-out websites. Students will be acquainted with AngularJS which is an advanced client-side MVC framework that allows them to extend the HTML vocabulary and help to create easier to implement RIA web applications and specifically SPA with complex behaviors, two way data binding and much more. For dynamically access of server database, students will be introduced to PHP and Ajax for server-side programming.

Course Outline:

• Creating HTML document, Formating Text - Layout, Emphasis and Style, Physical and Logical Tags,Image and Inclusions, Linking to other files, em and strong elements, span elements, code and pre elements.
• Escaping HTML Characters, Named Character References, Sectioning Elements.
• HTML Table elements, Frames, Form and Controls, multimedia Objects, Applets.
• Styling with CSS , Applying styles to web color, selectors, text, boxes, links, list, tables, forms.
• CSS3 Gradients and Multiple Backgrounds, CSS3 Transforms and Transitions.
• CSS3 Embedded Fonts and Multicolumn Layouts, Flexbox and Media Queries.
• Topics from HTML5: New elements and attributes, New APIs - Geolocation, Offline Web Apps, and Web Storage, Canvas, SVG, and Drag and Drop etc.
• Javascript values, operators, statements, functions, exception handling and variables (scopes, environments and closures).
• Javascript - Object inheritance,arrays, regular expressions, unicode, Javascript HTML DOM, Javascript Browser BOM, Javascript examples .
• Use jQuery effects to apply special effects to web pages,traverse and filter the DOM, jQuery events with jQuery selectors.
• Know how to capture a mouse event.jQuery UI, framework built on JavaScript and jQuery. allowing you to develop rich interface features. Understand jQuery UI elements, dialog features, a date picker, and special effects.
• Exploring JavaScript components, like carousels, tabs, tool tips, and scrolling.
• Learning to create own AngularJS App with a thorough understanding of the following concepts
  • AngularJS Views and Directives, Scope Hierarchy, Events, $watch, $digest, $apply.
  • AngularJS AJAX, Forms, timeout, interval, Custom Directive.
  • AngularJS Modularization & Dependency Injection, Routes, Internationalization.
• Develop a ReactJS App with a thorough understanding of the following concepts

Duration and Timings:

Approximately 8-9 weeks (10 hours per week/3 days per week). Timings are flexible as per coordination between students and faculty and will be scheduled on an ongoing basis. We prepared this course schedule and content to address market demand to ensure a successful job placement. Any suggestions from student community will be considered. Final content and schedule timings are subjected to vary.

• Making candidate resume which will increase candidate interview calls.
